I don’t know what you are doing to prepare for UFC 128 tonight but I’m getting all of laundry off my couch, hitting up the grocery store for chips, dips and coronas and moving any small tables out of the way just in case I have to suddenly jump up and do a celebratory high kick. The last time I did that I tripped over my coffee table and sprained my ankle. Not this time, “no more little coffee tables!” I exclaim in my best rendition of Joan Crawford’s wire hanger scene from Mommie Dearest.
Now, this little bit of preparation I am doing prior to UFC 128 seems like even too much for Jon Jones to be doing prior to his fight tonight. Seems like he should be kicking back, getting in the zone, anxiously pacing and awaiting this massive fight he has tonight with Shogun Rua. But no, Jon Jones instead is at the park helping Greg Jackson tackle and take out a smash and grab thief and then tweeting all about it. Amazing.
