It looks like Jesus Christ really is an MMA fan and apparently Jon Bones Jones is his favorite fighter. It’s true, Bones even has that religious tattoo on his right pectoral to prove how much of a fan God is of his stand-up ability. However, before I make another comment towards anyone’s religion, I need to share an email that I received from someone out there:

Dear Zeus, you are an very good writer and I wonder if your talent would be better used for something other than writing about people hitting each other in the face to see who can kill who, anyway, that is not a criticism, just an observation. I only wish you the best in life.
I am a Bible-following, Bible-believing Christian, and I try to use my time to glorify God. Now, the reason I have sent you this message (and I hope you don’t take offense to this) but the reason I have sent you this message is because that cartoon you have up on your website mocking the last supper is not very nice and it’s not very funny. In fact, it is in contradiction with who you are — both nice and funny. That picture reminds me of the San Francisco “gay” festival’s promo mocking the Last Supper of Jesus Christ which was and is highly offensive not only to the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, but to Christians everywhere. Btw, a lot of people reading your site would identify themselves as Christians. It doesn’t make sense to offend them too.
Dear Zeus, I hope you will reconsider and take that cartoon down, and before I go, I would like to ask you something. Do you know what God did for you so you wouldn’t have to go to Hell? Yes, that’s right. Jesus died on the cross for you. What does that mean to you? What happened on that cross? Do you know what that means Zeus? Do you understand it? Do you know what He was doing? He was taking the punishment for your sins upon Himself. He was paying a fine for the Law that you broke so you could be forgiven, so your case could be dismissed. The Bible says, “He was bruised for our iniquities” (Isaiah 53:5). The Bible says, “God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). He suffered and died for your sins taking your punishment upon Himself. Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. So what God wants you to do is repent, turn from your sins and trust in the Savior. The minute you do that the Bible says you’ll pass from death to life. God says He’ll forgive your sins and grant you the gift of everlasting life. So you don’t have wait until you die to know where you’re going and if you died now you’d end up in Hell! So what are you gonna do? I hope you take down that cartoon and you repent and trust the Savior today.

Hopefully we can all work together as an MMA nation and not ignore the fact that Jon Bones Jones just submitted Ryan Bader via guillotine in the second round and earned a title shot against Shogun Rua at UFC 128 in Newark, New Jersey. Amazing course of events in the past 15 minutes. Props to Bones on an excellent and astonishing win.
