Jon Jones won his first UFC heavyweight title defense against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 last Saturday. It was his big comeback after almost two years since winning the title at UFC 285. Jon looked amazing and fought really well.

Before the fight, Jon had talked about maybe retiring, but now he says he wants to fight at least one more time. He’s hoping to make a new deal with the UFC. The most likely person he’ll fight next is Tom Aspinall, but Jon also said he’s really excited to fight Alex Pereira too.

Jon Jones says he wants a ton of money to fight again. He needs a new deal to come back to the Octagon. UFC boss Dana White is hopeful they can make a deal for a big heavyweight fight.

Jon Anik and other UFC big names are excited about the Jones vs. Aspinall fight happening in 2025. While Jon Anik might not know all the details of the talks, he thinks he knows what Jon Jones will ask for from the UFC.

Jon Anik Thinks Jon Jones Should Get $20-25 Million for UFC Return

On a recent episode of The Anik & Florian Podcast, Jon Anik talked about what it would take to bring Jon Jones back to fight Tom Aspinall in the Octagon. He guessed how much money the UFC might need to make the fight happen.

“I do think it’s going to happen. When you hear Jon Jones invoke the name Jake Paul, I think it tells you all you need to know,” Anik said. “He just needs $20-$25 million to show, and he’s absolutely worth it, and I think they’ll pay it.

“I can understand why Dana doesn’t necessarily want to make Jon Jones vs. Alex Pereira, but I just sometimes feel like Georges St-Pierre and Jon Jones are held to a different standard. A lot of people are saying ‘Jon Jones was given an opportunity’, and if you look back at the history, Jon Jones was given an opportunity because his teammate Rashad Evans was unable to make the walk. Given an opportunity at 23…I just think it’s a little bit asking a lot, or lazy, to say that Jon Jones needs to provide this opportunity.”

In 2020, Jon Jones asked for a big amount of money to fight the heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou. But they couldn’t agree on the deal. Dana White said Jon’s money request was like what big boxer Deontay Wilder wanted for his fights.

Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall could be the biggest fight of 2025. Before Jon won against Miocic, he became the champ by beating Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. Jon spent three whole years getting his body ready to fight in a bigger weight class.

Aspinall is feeling happy about the fight, especially after he won his interim title against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304.

Jon Jones is super famous for being one of the best UFC fighters ever. He’s beaten big names like Daniel Cormier and Rampage Jackson. Now, after 13 years of being the youngest UFC champ, Jon could make lots of money for his fight with Aspinall in 2025. Even though we don’t know if the UFC will agree to the money Jon wants, Jon Anik thinks everyone will figure it out.
