Johny Hendricks isn’t going to fight again unless it’s for a belt. A UFC championship belt, specifically

This is a rough draft of the letter we plan on sending to the military on Monday:

Dear US Government/Coast Guard/to whom it may concern,

When the clock strikes midnight on December 21st and the spaceships come down from the sky to kill us, we at MiddleEasy want Johny Hendricks and Dan Henderson to H-Bomb each other’s hand as soon as the aliens start to invade. We recognize the potential for collateral damage. We are sure the resulting shockwave will decimate whatever area they are in, and they will end up standing naked in a charred crater from the explosion’s force. Damage to public property aside, the monsters that look to end our world will realize that it’s just not worth it, so we think a few million in repairs to wherever we need to send these two when the **** goes down is a necessary evil.

Just keep in mind: afterwords, when Hendricks and Hendo shake hands signalling their time to part ways, they will set off another, minor, shockwave that could kill thousands. Please evacuate the surrounding cities.

Love,

MiddleEasy

We doubt anyone will write us back, we just hope that they seriously consider the H-Bomb Defense Act for December 21st, 2012 seriously. It may be our only hope, and we know Johny Hendricks isn’t busy – he’s going to be waiting for his title shot that he feels is rightfully his. This is what he told MMAJunkie Radio.

“I’m not going to fight unless it’s for a belt,” “Nothing else matters but the belt. My last three fights were guys in the top five, and I finished two of those three fights. I stated my claim. My stock’s really high right now, and the only thing left is to get a shot at that belt.”

“I really want a belt. They don’t come around that often, and I feel like I’ve done enough to earn a shot, and that’s pretty much all I’m thinking of right now. I’m training for a five-round fight, and that’s it.”

“He’s trying to keep money from my kids,” “If I win that belt and take it from him, my life changes. He’s trying to not give me the fair shot. That’s crazy to me to think this guy is trying to control my future. That makes me want to win that much even more.”

“Here is a guy is trying to pull out a curveball saying, ‘We really don’t think we can win with this guy, but we think we can beat Nick Diaz.’ That’s what it sounds like to me,”

“I think I’m going to be fighting GSP in six months – April or May,” he said. “I want GSP, and nothing else matters. Nobody else is in the equation in my mind. But hypothetically, as long as it takes (to get GSP is how long I’ll wait). You only get so many opportunities to fight at the top level and stay at the top level.

“I can’t keep fighting and being the No. 1 contender for years. There has to be a time to take a stand, and I feel like now is that time.”
