Light Heavyweight Contender Johnny Walker Wants To Beat Jones Like In Video Game
UFC Light Heavyweight Johnny Walker has been making waves since his signing to the UFC. Now he is eyeballing a match with the champ, Jon Jones.
Following a vicious knockout of Misha Cirkunov Johnny Walker is looking for big match ups. He has called out the likes of Alexander Gustaffson and, of course, Jon Jones. However, Walker has an interesting way of visualizing a fight with Jones. That is through the use of UFC Undisputed, the video game.
In an interview with The Bodylock MMA, Walker details his thoughts on what it would mean to finally fight Jones.
“Only Jon Jones [is who I have an eye on]. I grew up watching this guy. I played with him in the UFC game and it [would] make me very happy to fight against him.”
Walker would then go on to say how he would want to beat Jones.
“I would beat him. [But] I want to enjoy the fight. I hope I don’t finish the fight very quickly because I want to enjoy the fight, enjoy the moment. Because this is my dream coming true.”
Johnny Walker has his concerns about getting the title shot, however. He stated that he believes he should fight someone else before getting the shot. He is looking for a bout with the winner of Alexander Gustaffson and Anthony Smith, Jones’s previous two opponents.
While it is hard to say who will win that bout, either man would make for a good match with Johnny Walker. He is currently the hottest prospect at 205lbs.
