Johnny Walker Made A Bold Proclamation That He Can Beat Francis Ngannnou

Cameroonian-Frenchman Francis Ngannou was an unstoppable force inside the Octagon before his title shot against Stipe Miocic. Everyone was scared to face him as Ngannou has frightening knockout power. However, that perception changed when he suffered a fifth-round submission loss to Miocic at UFC 220. After that setback, he once again came up short against Derrick Lewis. But he proved his worth and turned his career around with back to back three wins over the likes of Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez and most recently Junior dos Santos.

UFC recently posted a Ngannou’s photo on social media asking who can defeat him. Johnny walker quickly hopped in and said, ‘me.’

Johnny Walker is a rising prospect making waves in the UFC recently coming off a first-round TKO win over Misha Cirkunov on March 2, 2019, at UFC 235. Following his victory, he dislocated his shoulder doing the post-fight celebration. Thus he’s on the sideline due to shoulder surgery.

Walker is in negotiation with the promotion to get his next fight booked. UFC hopes to schedule Brazilian for an upcoming show in August or September.

Meanwhile, Ngannou scored a first round KO win over Junior dos Santos in the main headliner of UFC Minneapolis this past weekend. In a post-fight interview, Ngannou made it clear that he’d like to take on the winner of Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier. This fight takes place at UFC 244 pay-per-view (PPV) event in California on August 17, 2019.
