Johnny Manziel took Bob Menery down and pounded out a first-round TKO in the Brand Risk 14 main event Saturday night at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
The fight headlined Adin Ross’ influencer-heavy card, which also produced Ray J getting stopped by Supah Hot Fire and Sean Strickland ripping Brand Risk 14 after leaving early. Manziel vs. Menery was the main event, and once Manziel put the fight on the floor, Menery had no real answer.
Manziel, nicknamed “Johnny Football,” won the Heisman Trophy at Texas A&M before the Cleveland Browns selected him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He later played in the NFL, CFL, AAF, and Fan Controlled Football. Menery entered the matchup as a podcaster and internet personality.
The opening exchanges were loose. Both men threw wide shots, and Manziel mixed in kicks before changing levels. He tackled Menery to the canvas, moved into full mount, and started landing ground-and-pound.

Manziel Says One Fight Was Enough After Brand Risk 14 Win
The referee stepped in a little over two minutes into Round 1. Menery pushed back on the stoppage afterward, but he also admitted Manziel controlled the fight.
“At the end of the day, I was still fine, but he dominated me,” Menery said afterward. “I wish it had gone one more round, but it got called.”
Manziel did not sound interested in turning the win into a long combat sports run. Asked if he planned to fight again, he kept it short.
“Probably not, but this was good enough for one time,” Manziel said, before joking that he needed a cigarette.
The result fit the matchup. Manziel used his athletic edge, got on top, and forced the stoppage without letting the fight drift into a sloppy long round. Menery wanted more time, but the referee had seen enough once Manziel was mounted and throwing.
Brand Risk 14 was built for clips, and the main event gave the card another one. Between Manziel’s stoppage, the Ray J finish, and Strickland’s reaction, Adin Ross again pushed internet spectacle into the combat sports lane.
