John Lineker Announces On Social Media That He Signs With ONE Championship

UFC Bantamweight Brazilian slugger, John Lineker was released from UFC earlier this month with a record of (12-4) inside of the Octagon. Lineker made UFC debut back in 2012. Many fight fans were wondering what could be the reason that UFC cut ties with a fan-friendly fighter.

In a recent interview UFC president, Dana White revealed that Lineker had missed weight on a few occasions, and matchmakers were frustrated due to his unprofessionalism.

To remind you that Lineker has missed weight on whopping five times under UFC banner and moreover withdraw from four other fights against Cory Sandhagen, Rob Font, Jimmie Rivera, and Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt due to different reasons.

That’s not the end here for Lineker as on Monday evening he announced on social media that Asia’s MMA promotion ONE Championship signs him.

“ I will answer all the questions out there about myself in the Ring! People will be changing the channel to watch me fight! I will continue to do what I love! Fight and put on a show! Thank you 1 for having me! @Alexdavismma @ONEChampionship”

Lineker last fought in April at UFC On ESPN+8, where he suffered a split decision to rising contender Cory Sandhagen. Brazilian was scheduled to face Rob Font in the co-main event of UFC Greenville, but due to facial cut during a weight cut session Brazilian slugger withdrew at the last minute, and apparently, UFC had enough of it and has since decided to cut him.
