John Kavanagh Sends Threatening Message To Drake
Drake is known to be a huge fan of combat sports. Conor McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, does not seem to be much of a fan of Drake, though.
The sport of MMA has a never-ending list of mythical curses. There’s the barbershop curse, the EA UFC curse, even the Fallon Curse. One of the more recent curses involves R&B superstar Drake, and has an affect on more than just MMA.
Allegedly, anytime an athlete is seen meeting with the Canadian, they go on to lose their next outing. The curse has laid victim to Conor McGregor and Max Holloway, among others. Most recently though, it effected former WBA IBF and WBO Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua.
Joshua mocked this curse, ahead of his bout with Andy Ruiz Jr. He posted a picture to his Twitter with Drake, along with the caption “Bout to break the curse.”

Joshua would go on to lose to the short-notice replacement, an opponent he was favored as high as -3500 to beat.
With that being said, John Kavanagh took preemptive action against this so-called curse. He reached out on his own Twitter, with a GIF and a threat.

“IF drake ever tries visit my gym he’s getting roundhoused.”
Bold words coming from John Kavanagh. Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier, Drake already had his hands on McGregor. Ahead of his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, then again before his UFC 229 bout against Khabib, McGregor encountered Drake.
Obviously, the only reason McGregor lost those fights, was due to Drake. Absolutely no other reason. So it’s safe to say that John Kavanagh is tired of his fighters being held back because of Drake. Honestly though, isn’t everyone a bit sick of Drake?
