Joe Rogan wants to have a serious chat with Drake, not for his podcast, but about the rapper’s infamous UFC and boxing bets that keep going wrong. Known as the “Drake Curse,” these wagers often make headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Joe Rogan wants to call up Drake to talk about his bad UFC betting streak

On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan was joined by music producer Scott Storch. The two touched on Drake’s reputation in the music and sports worlds, with Rogan expressing curiosity about why the rapper’s bets almost always fail.

Drake’s latest gamble was during the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, where he lost a jaw-dropping $355,000 betting on Tyson to win. Rogan joked about needing to call Drake to steer him away from his risky betting streak.

“I want to get ahold of Drake and talk to him about his fight picks,” Joe Rogan said on a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. “That motherf**ker loses more money on fights… I want to call him up.”

Drake’s reputation for high-stakes fight bets is a rollercoaster of wins and losses. In 2022, he wagered $200,000 on Kamaru Usman, only to see Leon Edwards deliver a shocking knockout. Later that year, his $2 million bet on Israel Adesanya ended in disappointment when Alex Pereira claimed victory.

However, not all of Drake’s bets are misses. He pocketed over $1 million when Alex Pereira knocked out Jamahal Hill at UFC 300. And at UFC 309, his nearly $500,000 bet on Jon Jones to defeat Stipe Miocic paid off with a knockout win.

Despite some notable wins, Joe Rogan remains unimpressed with the rapper’s gambling choices, perhaps hoping to give him a few pointers on smarter bets.

“That’s what I would have thought [would happen] anyway,” Rogan said. “That’s an easy bet.”

We don’t know yet if Drake will bet on the big UFC 310 fight next month in Las Vegas. The fight will have Alexandre Pantoja, the champion, going up against Kai Asakura for the flyweight title. Let’s wait and see if Drake joins the fun!
