MMA has lots of good fighters, and everyone has their favorite. But Dana White, the UFC boss, says Jon Jones is the best of all time. Now, Joe Rogan agrees with him and picks Jon Jones as the greatest.

Joe Rogan Analyzes Jon Jones’ Physical Edge Over His Opponents

Joe Rogan says Jon has the “perfect fighter’s frame,” which helps him beat his opponents. Even though there are other strong fighters who could be great too, Joe thinks no one is quite like Jon Jones. Jon has won against the best of the best in the light heavyweight class.

“Jon Jones has the perfect fighter’s frame because he’s still very strong, he has a lot of muscle, but he’s also long and lean,” Rogan said in a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.” “So he’s not relatively bulky compared to his weight because he’s long and stretched out.

“If you have a distance like that between where a guy can hit you and you can’t hit him, you have to cross that, and you’re so vulnerable while crossing that. And if a guy’s a good counter striker, and he’s active and he’s long, they’re so hard to get in on. So, a guy like Jon, that’s always going to be an advantage.”

For a long, long time, Joe Rogan has sat super close to the cage, watching all the fights. He’s had the best seat to see how fighters move and fight in the octagon. So, he knows a lot about what makes a fighter really good. Joe even says there should be another fighter in the “greatest of all time” talk, Demetrious Johnson, who was also a UFC champ.

Jon Jones was the king of the light heavyweight division for over 10 years. But in March 2023, he decided to move up and try the heavyweight division for the very first time at UFC 285. His big opponent was Ciryl Gane, and everyone was excited to see what would happen. Jon didn’t take long at all, in less than one round, he used his skills to make Gane tap out. Just like that, Jon became the new heavyweight champion, showing everyone he could be the best in a new weight class too.

“With Jon, if you do get in on him, that’s no picnic because he’s an elite grappler,” Rogan said. “So, he’s going to strangle you, he’s going to throw you to the ground. So like, you’re f*cked. On the outside, he’s kicking the sh*t out of your knees. Jon was one of the nastiest at side-kicking people’s knees out.”

Jon Jones is going to defend his title for the first time against Stipe Miocic. They’re fighting in the main event at UFC 309 on Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York. You can watch it on pay-per-view and on channels like ESPNews, Hulu, FX, and ESPN+.
