Jon Jones had an amazing first fight to keep his heavyweight title. After he won, Joe Rogan thought his big moment in the ring made the whole fight even more special at UFC 309.

Jon came back to fight Miocic at UFC 309 after being gone for almost two years. He was super strong and didn’t seem rusty at all.

Lots of famous people went to Madison Square Garden to watch Jon and other top fighters. The fights were so exciting with cool knockouts and some big surprises.

Joe Rogan Calls Jon Jones’ Post-Fight Celebration the Best Part of the Night

Joe Rogan shared a cool post on Instagram about Jon Jones doing a happy dance after his fight, right near President-Elect Donald Trump! After Jon won at UFC 309, he talked to Trump for a little while. Trump loves UFC and will go back to The White House after winning the 2024 election.

“Highlight of the night: [Jon Jones] with the KO victory followed up by the Trump dance,” Rogan posted on Instagram.

When Trump walked into Madison Square Garden, everyone clapped and cheered really loud. He came with some special people, like Elon Musk. Dana White, the UFC boss, has been friends with Trump for a long time.

Jon Jones came back to fight after winning the heavyweight title from Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. He was supposed to fight Miocic at UFC 295 but got hurt and couldn’t. So, Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich fought instead.

Jon Jones has decided not to retire just yet after UFC 309. Although he had mentioned retiring, he now wants one last big fight before calling it quits. He’s hoping for a matchup with UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, but Dana White and the UFC aren’t too keen on making that fight happen.

Aspinall, who was the backup fighter at UFC 309, seems like the best option for Jon’s next opponent. They’ve been going back and forth for months, and Aspinall doesn’t want to fight for the interim title again after beating Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304.

Jon, Dana, and the UFC are set to negotiate his contract, hoping to keep him fighting for a while longer. If Jon’s demands aren’t met, UFC 309 might have been his final fight before retirement.

For now, the aftermath of UFC 309 is fresh, and talks about Jon’s future will begin soon. Joe Rogan, who’s seen it all in the Octagon, thought Jon’s moment with the president-elect capped off a legendary night in New York City.
