Joe Rogan reacts to ABC boss Kim Williams calling his content “Repulsive” and fearmongering.

Kim Williams, who chairs Australia’s national broadcaster, criticized Joe Rogan for taking advantage of people’s weaknesses and treating the public unfairly. He described Rogan’s influence as “deeply repulsive” and expressed his shock over it.

“I think people like Mr Rogan prey on people’s vulnerabilities. They prey on fear. They prey on anxiety. They prey on all of the elements that contribute to uncertainty in society, and they entrepreneur fantasy outcomes and conspiracy outcomes as being a normal part of social narrative,” Williams stated after addressing the National Press Club in Canberra.

Kim Williams expressed his concern that Joe Rogan’s popularity was troubling, as he believes Rogan uses his platform to take advantage of people’s vulnerabilities for harmful purposes. He felt that Rogan’s influence on the public was more about exploiting them than providing true entertainment. These remarks were made in response to a question about Rogan’s influence, especially among men, and his potential impact on the U.S. presidential election.

“Source of public entertainment when it’s really treating the public as plunder for purposes that are really quite malevolent”.

Donald Trump, who was getting ready to be president, went on Joe Rogan’s podcast before the election. They talked for a long time, about three hours, and lots of people watched it. In fact, over 52 million people watched it on YouTube.

Some people in the Democratic party were upset with Kamala Harris because she didn’t do an interview with Joe Rogan, while her opponent, Trump, did. They thought it showed she wasn’t connecting well with young men.

Harris’s team explained that they tried to make it happen but couldn’t agree on a time because of busy schedules.

Joe Rogan, who has millions of followers on YouTube and Spotify, responded to the criticism from the ABC chair by simply posting “LOL WUT” on X (formerly known as Twitter).

His response drew backlash from conservatives online, including tech mogul Elon Musk, who called the Australian broadcaster “Pravda,” referring to the Soviet Union’s government-run news outlet.

In a follow-up interview on ABC radio, Williams explained his comments about Joe Rogan, stating that Rogan had done an “enormous amount of damage” during the COVID-19 pandemic with his views on vaccines.

Rogan has denied being against vaccines but explained that he chose not to get the COVID vaccine himself because he had antibodies from catching the virus. He also mentioned that he would not recommend a healthy 21-year-old to take the shot.

Williams went on to say, “What fascinates me is you say something negative about Joe Rogan – and I have been swarmed with the most unbelievably vicious responses.”

Joe Rogan has conversations with interesting people, and when someone like Kim Williams reacts so strongly, it shows how afraid they are of free thinking. They’re used to being in control, but now they’re losing that power. The traditional media is struggling because they’ve manipulated the public for too long.
