After listening to the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, former UFC fighter turned BKFC brawler Mike Perry appeared to be a bit confused.
Recently, Rogan welcomed former U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry and chairman of the Kentucky Opioid Commission W. Bryan Hubbard for an in-depth conversation surrounding ibogaine, a psychoactive indole alkaloid that could be used to treat opioid addiction.
“Ibogaine has the unique ability to restore the brain’s dopamine and serotonin production to its pre-opioid exposure levels within 36 to 48 hours,” Hubbard said. “Thereby fully resolving physiological opioid dependence with a single administration for 80% of individuals the first time. That number goes to 97% with a second supportive dose.”
Rogan also addressed the possibility of using plant-based psychoactive to treat mental illness.

“I think it’s a great introduction for people who don’t understand the concept of plant medicine because ibogaine is one of those drugs that is not a party drug,” Rogan said. “No one uses it recreationally. There’s no potential whatsoever for addiction. As a matter of fact, it actually cures addiction. Somehow, it rewires the brain.”
Unfortunately, psychoactive treatments are currently not permitted within a majority of the United States due to a federal ban. However, there are some exceptions as Denver, Colorado, and Oakland, California have decriminalized psychedelic therapy.
‘Platinum’ Mike Perry Comments on Joe Rogan Clip
Once President-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office for the second time on January 20, many believe he will eradicate the federal ban, allowing millions of addicts and those suffering from mental illness access to psychoactive treatments.
“Thank God, Donald Trump won this election,” Rick Perry added. “He’s putting people into place that are open to plant medicine (psychoactives) being used for our veterans’ mental health.
After watching the above clip of the conversation, ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry appeared to be left a little confused by the. That prompted him to share a popular GIF from the 2009 comedy classic The Hangover.
