Pereira, 38, stands 6’4” with a 79-inch reach and holds a 12-3 MMA record with 10 knockouts. He debuted in the UFC in 2021, knocking out Andreas Michailidis at UFC 268. He won the middleweight title in 2022 by knocking out Israel Adesanya at UFC 281 and the light heavyweight title in 2023 against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295. His UFC losses were to Adesanya in 2023 and Ankalaev in 2025.
