Joe Rogan has shared a blunt assessment of Jake Paul’s upcoming fight with Anthony Joshua, scheduled for December 19 on Netflix. After Gervonta Davis ran into legal trouble, Paul had to scramble for a new opponent, landing the Olympic gold medalist and former multi-organization heavyweight champion Joshua.
“Realistically, it’s one of the craziest propositions of all time,” Rogan said on a latest episode of his podcast. “You take a guy who just had a boxing match that looked like a sparring match with a 58-year-old Mike Tyson, and then you’re gonna fight one of the absolute scariest knockout artists in the heavyweight division?”
“I’ll watch,” he added. “I’m definitely gonna watch. So he’s got me there.”
Rogan also noted Joshua’s knockout of Francis Ngannou as proof of his threat.
“[He’s] one of the scariest f–king heavyweights alive,” Rogan said. “He’s gonna be terrifying, and he’s gonna have a lot to prove. He’s gonna be very angry that Jake Paul wants to fight him.”

Joshua’s Right Hand Could Decide the Fight
Rogan delivered an explicit warning about the power Joshua brings to the ring:
“That right hand, if it hits you, you are f–ked. This is a giant, Olympic gold medalist heavyweight. One-punch nuclear power. He’s a specialist at putting knuckles through your f–king brain, and that’s what he’s gonna try to do to Jake Paul.”
Even though Paul’s camp added a clause in the contract restricting Joshua to 245 pounds on fight night, Rogan believes this is unlikely to help.
“Listen, kids, it ain’t gonna matter,” Rogan said. “There’s not a chance that Anthony Joshua is not going to just lose the weight beforehand. He’s not gonna come in drained. What he’s going to do is just do extra cardio, and that’s just gonna make him more dangerous. He’s gonna be terrifying.”
The December 19 fight now looms as one of the most daunting challenges of Jake Paul’s boxing career, with Rogan fully expecting the bout to test Paul in every way possible.
