Drone sightings in New Jersey have been causing a stir, especially after Joe Rogan talked about them on his latest podcast episode. Rogan, always open to exploring strange topics, invited former U.S. Navy pilot Ryan Graves to break down the mystery behind the sightings. Graves, who has firsthand experience with UFOs, provided a clear view on the situation, refuting wild claims about missing nuclear warheads.
One theory, shared by military veteran and drone expert John Ferguson, suggested that the government could be using advanced drones to track down a missing Soviet nuclear warhead. Ferguson claims the warhead was one of 80 that went missing after the Cold War. He believes the drones might be using gamma radiation detection to locate it.
There is a great deal of discussion about the drones flying over the east coast of the US.

Joe Rogan Explores Drone Sightings and Missing Nukes Theory
While Joe Rogan briefly entertained the idea, Graves disagreed. He stressed that there’s no solid evidence connecting the drones to anything nuclear. Graves pointed out that in today’s world, where unverified theories can quickly spread, it’s easy to get confused by misleading narratives.
“So there are teams that respond to those types of potential emergencies, typically within the Department of Energy. Having potentially hundreds of drones flying around, trying to identify these, isn’t necessarily the best way. Gamma radiation is typically well-shielded in weapons. And at very high altitudes or even moderate altitudes, like we’re seeing these objects, it’d be pretty difficult to detect them,” Graves said.
“And the way that this DOE typically operates in this environment is ground-based teams, searching for radiation itself. So it’s not necessarily consistent with how they would do it, to begin with. And then, based off that other information, that’s what leads me to believe that’s not the case.”
“Well, that makes me feel better ’cause I was freaking out this weekend.” Rogan said.
“I’ve come in contact with experts,” Graves explained further, “specifically working on weapons of mass destruction. If there’s a loose nuke in the US, among other agencies, they’d be some of the people working around the clock to track and secure it.”
This conversation on UFOs isn’t new for Rogan’s podcast. In the past, former U.S. Air Force Captain Robert Salas shared his chilling account of a UFO sighting from 1967. He and his team witnessed strange lights over a missile base, leading to fears that nuclear weapons were being targeted. More UFO sightings in other places, including India, continue to spark debate. Experts like Sabir Hussain have called for more serious investigations into these events.
For Rogan and his listeners, the question remains: What is really happening up there in the sky? Whether it’s drones, UFOs, or something else, the mystery continues to unfold.
