After the UFC’s final PPV of the year, Joe Rogan found himself in tears while attending dinner with stand-up comic Theo Von.
Speaking with Michael Waddell on a recent episode of his popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, the longtime UFC color commentator shared a hilarious story about he and Von laughing their asses off while attending dinner in Las Vegas after the promotion’s final pay-per-view of the year inside T-Mobile Arena.
“Theo lives in a neighboring dimension and he just comes and visits us,” Rogan said of his fellow podcaster. ‘Theo and I went to the UFC two weekends ago. We were in Vegas and then after the fights, we went to dinner and I swear to god, the dinner was an hour and a half of me and Theo crying laughing. I mean tears — I’m wiping my eyes. I can’t breathe. I go, ‘Dude, this should have been a podcast.’ We should have filmed this.
“We were crying. He was saying the most ridiculous sh*t and I was laughing so hard. It was so much fun. He’s so fun. He’s a one-of-a-kind. He’s a sweetheart and such a nice guy. A kind person and a very unique talent.”

Michael Waddell Shares Funny Story on the Joe Rogan Experience About the Time He Went Hunting with Theo Von
During their conversation, Waddell has his own fun story to tell about the time he attempted to take Von on his first turkey hunt.
“Theo by far is one of the coolest and most unique people I’ve met,” Waddell said. “I remember we go out and we’re going to turkey hunt and I think I ruined his whole excitement of it when I said, ‘Alright, I’ll wake ya’ll up around 4:30 in the morning.’ He said, ‘What’d you say, Waddell?! Oh man, I didn’t sign up for this. It didn’t say this in the brochure.’
“Caleb Pressley from Barstool Sports was there and I was a big fan of those guys so I was trying to make sure I gave them the best experience I could, but we go out there and Theo had not been around a gun a lot so I figured it would be easy — I had a 20 gauge and I put those red dot scopes on there to make it really easy. Not have him shoot the bead. Just look through this, see the optic, put it on the turkey’s head, and pull the trigger.
“So Theo’s looking through that thing and he’s like, ‘You want me to shoot now?’ I said, ‘No, Theo!’ It’s not even daylight good and he’s got sunglasses on and he’s looking through the shotgun and he says, ‘Oh, man, I see that red dot. And when I pull the trigger it turn green?’ Then he looked at me and said, ‘Who’s on the other team?'”
