Joe Riggs is still hospitalized

A couple of weeks ago we told you that Joe Riggs had to drop out of the Strikeforce card against Nick Diaz due to a severe allergic reaction to a drug that is still unknown. We still like to think this entire thing is just part of Joe Rigg’s spiritual journey and that the ‘severe allergic reaction’ is just normal for a shaman’s brew of ayahuasca. He’s not in the hospital because he’s sick, dude is just trying to figure out his way back to reality. We’ve all been there. Let me restate that, I’ve been there. It’s a pretty bizarre place. Everything seems to be more meaningful. You have incredible life revelations, you see things that aren’t there and the back of your hand seems to be the most interesting place in the galaxy. Normally, all of this goes on while you’re sprawled out on your friend’s sofa pulling at your hair saying ‘I can’t believe this is real‘. Here’s what Diesel’s manager had to say about his medical situation:

“Supposedly, they got it out of his system and they’re switching medications for him, and he feels 100-percent better,” said Lally. “He just had me call Bob (Cook) to see if there’s a fight for him in the near future,” he said. “They’re going to clear him to start working out in about a week.”

Hopefully Nick Diaz won’t track down Riggs and pull another hospital room battle like last time (however if you do Diaz, be sure to put it up on Youtube). If Riggs isn’t under the influence of a massive hallucinogenic trip, we wish him the best and hope he gets better so we can finally see Diaz vs. Riggs II (well III if you count that hospital battle back in the day).
