Jessica Andrade hopes to one day avenge her UFC 211 loss to Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Unfortunately for Andrade, the Polish fan favorite opted to retire in 2022 following a nasty knockout loss against current strawweight titleholder Zhang Weili. However, the Brazilian recently revealed that there is one condition that could drag the UFC Hall of Famer back to the Octagon for one more go.
“I’ve been talking to Joanna and she said she’d come back. If it’s for this [BMF] belt, she would come back,” Andrade told MMA Fighting. “I think that would be a good fight. Joanna, or maybe Angela Hill, who never walks away from a fight and is always there fighting everyone. Or Valentina [Shevchenko]. Any of those girls would be great, but I think it would be special if it’s Joanna. It would be better.”

Joanna Jedrzejczyk Willing to Come Back for Fight with Jessica Andrade at 125 Pounds
Jedrzejczyk bested Andrade via unanimous decision in what would be her fifth and final time defending the strawweight strap before surrendering it to ‘Thug’ Rose Namajunas six months later.
Andrade defeated Namajunas for the title two years later, but the rematch with Jedrzejczyk just never came back around.
“[Jedrzejczyk] said she would fight at 125, not at 115, and that would be even better for me because I feel great in this division as well,” Andrade continued. “I wouldn’t be too affected by the weight loss or any of that. I think we would put on a show and do an incredible fight, and I would get that one back.”
Andrade is scheduled to return to the Octagon on September 7 for a scrap with streaking Brazilian standout Natalia Silva. Should she come out on top, it will be her third-straight victory after TKO’ing Mackenzie Dern late last year and earning a split-decision victory over Marina Rodriguez at UFC 300.
