Joanna Jedrzejczyk Already Looking Lean Ahead Of UFC 223 Weight-Cut

Rose Namajunas shocked the world after handing Joanna Jedrzejczyk the first loss of her career at UFC 217 on November 4, at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Jedrzejczyk revealed she’d gone through a botched weight cut which nearly caused her to withdraw from the card on weigh-in day. She says that she will no longer be working with the team.

Joanna the ex- Champion’s first mission is to have a good weight cut before her UFC 223 rematch with Namajunas and shared a picture on her social media account:

Before losing to Namajunas, Jedrzejczyk was riding with 14 straight victories. She scored the strawweight title at UFC 185 via second-round knockout of Carla Esparza and defended the belt five times.

Joanna is training with some members of her camp at American Top Team, but ex-champ is not leaving anything to chance.

After losing her women’s strawweight title, she’s been obsessed with winning it back. UFC 223 is set to take place April 7 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The co-main event features a strawweight title bout between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Rose Namajunas.
