Jimmy Ambriz to rescue the Strikeforce Miami card

Up until a couple of nights ago, my apartment looked like that town in Slumdog Millionaire. You know, the one you wouldn’t want to live in/ I wish I had an excuse like, ‘I’ve been traveling’ or ‘I work 2 jobs’, but I didn’t. I meant to clean it sooner, but I’m like the ‘Karo Parisyan’ of procrastinators. After meeting Herschel Walker on Wednesday, I somehow felt like everything in my life needed to change. The dude is really like a messiah in so many ways. I promptly ran home, put away my camera, did my laundry, cleaned my room, and threw away all the ham and cheese Hot Pockets in my fridge. From now on, I’m going to the gym every day and will stop procrastinating…eventually. Herschel Walker may have only shook my hand for a split second before running off to an interview with Ariel Helwani, but that handshake did more for me than all the hundreds of dollars I spent on the Tony Robbins tapes Diego Sanchez recommended.

Stikeforce too has apparently stopped procrastinating. With just 15 days left before the Jan 30th Miami bout, Jimmy Ambriz is stepping in for Yohan Banks after the Florida State Athletic Commission denied Banks to right to fight because “it was not competitive.” The FSAC is still deciding whether to sanction the bout considering Ambriz hasn’t fought since his win over Chris Clark by TKO (Punches) at MFC – Midwest Fighting Championships back in August. If the commission sanctions the fight today, Ambriz should have a whole 2 weeks to prepare for his fight with Bobby Lashly. I was thinking about ending with a joke, perhaps some sarcasm, but that last sentence is about as funny and entertaining as anything you’re going to read today, I promise. [Source]
