Jimmie Rivera Calls Out Cody Garbrandt To “Get This F**king Division Moving Again”

Jimmie Rivera Tells ‘Head Case’ Cody Garbrandt To Remove His Balls Out Of Urijah Faber’s Purse

Earlier today, Jimmie Rivera (22-2) took to Twitter to call out ex-bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt in an expletive rant. Rivera truly didn’t hold back when going into Garbrandt.

“@Cody_NoLove is such a head case. After he’s finished rehabbing his ego from that last loss he should also grab his balls out of @UrijahFaber purse and get this f****** division moving again”  @JimmieRivera135

Garbrandt has yet to reply to Rivera as of the time of writing with the ex-champion seemingly not using social media as much since his two consecutive losses to TJ Dillashaw in the UFC 227 main event. On the other hand, Rivera had his 20-fight winning streak snapped with a KO loss to Marlon Moraes at UFC Fight Night 131 back in June then made a quick turn around and score a decision win against former title contender John Dodson at UFC 228.

Many fans on Twitter have seen this sudden outburst from Rivera as a low-class move due to Garbrandt coming off two KO losses. Although, it could be argued that there is no time like the present as both fighters are not scheduled to fight anyone in the near future. Rivera has been looking for this fight against Garbrandt for a few years now with Rivera constantly taking jabs at Garbrandt.

In January, Rivera called out Garbrandt saying “@Cody_NoLove is healthy. Let’s put on a show for the fans” after his bout Versus Dominick Cruz at UFC 219 was canceled due to Cruz breaking his arm in training camp. Also, in April of this year, Rivera stated that Garbrandt “ducked me in favor of easier fight against Dillashaw” in order to get under Garbrandt’s skin and motivate him to take the fight against him.

With none of these attempts supposedly working, it seems like Rivera is not planning on giving up on the potential fight with Garbrandt anytime soon as he continues to relentlessly insult the former champion into taking a fight with him.
