Jessica Aguilar just defeated Megumi Fujii, wow!

Good fight. Close fight. Jessica Aguilar just edged out Megumi Fujii through three rounds to grab the decision over the former Frater Trane’er in what, in my opinion, should’ve been a five round fight. Why not? If it’s logical and holds as much weight as a number one ranked fighter taking on a number two ranked fighter like we had tonight at Bellator 69, it should happen. Make it so, Bjorn.

The fight for 115 pound supremacy was close for all fifteen minutes and started out with Mega Megu stalking Jessica Aguilar around the cage like a tiny, pink demon looking to swallow her up. Aguilar would have none of Megu’s advances and countered her every movement with stiff jabs to Megu’s cut face. This went on for the better part of the round until an armbar attempt by Megu threatened Aguilar for the briefest of moments. Through the second round, Megu put little offense together and continued to eat shots from a dancing Aguilar. This continued into the third until Megu took down Aguilar and dominated her in top position (without landing too much, not for lack of trying).

All three judges saw it 29-28 for Jag. Twitter agreed for the most part.

Grats Jessica Aguilar, you’re the top chick at 115 and the second women to ever defeat Megumii Fujii. Hopefully the fate of the Bellator 115 pound title is known soon.
