Jessamyn Duke talks to us about her dream of being a pro wrestler

I flirted with dropping out of high school so I could join Shawn Michael’s training camp back in the day. I loved pro wrestling, absolutely loved it. Then ECW died and I got really, really bitter and averted my eyes from all wrestling for well over a decade. I can watch the old stuff now. And by old, I mean late-80’s WCW through the 90’s with ECW, New Japan and Michinoku Pro. I still can’t do WWE, but I respect the hell out of it.

Even in my bitter state, I would still be down to start an impromptu, falls count anywhere match with just about anyone in the MiddleEasy office, but they’re all afraid to take aspirin and blade. They care far too much about their clothes and the state of our office. I’m looking at all five feet of Gary right now, thinking about how easy it would be to put him in a vertical suplex…

Maybe one day we’ll stop by Glendale Fight Club and challenge our bud Jessamyn Duke to a match as soon as her hand heals. It seems like she could work a pretty decent match.
