James Vick On Transgenders Competing In MMA: “You’re Risking A Person’s Injury With This Serious Stuff’

James Vick isn’t a fan of transgenders competing in sports, especially not in MMA.

The topic of transgender women competing against cis women has been nothing but controversial. We’ve seen it multiple times across different sports and of course, combat sports. Transgender woman Alanna McLaughlin is the latest example when it comes to MMA.

Special forces veteran McLaughlin would win her pro debut last fall. This would garner quite a bit of controversy, just as it did for her trans predecessor Fallon Fox years ago. There was dozens of MMA fighters who would show disdain for this, including Sean Strickland, Michael Bisping, and Sean O’Malley.

‘It’s Nuts’

Add James Vick to the list of those who oppose transgenders competing against cis women.

“It’s just crazy to think that you can have a biological male, who at one point decides he is going to change his gender competing against women, they’re physically so much bigger, I mean it’s nuts,” Vick said on the Breitbart News Daily Podcast.

“I couldn’t even imagine this happening at a high level in fighting where people really get hurt.”

Vick On Coaches Who Let Transgenders Fight

‘The Texecutioner’ wouldn’t hold back when it came to this conversation. If another transgender were to step in the cage, Vick would put the blame on their coaches for risking serious injuries.

“If you’re a coach letting your female fighter fight a trans guy you’re a horrible coach… you’re risking a person’s injury with this serious stuff.”
