I wonder what happened to that beef Shields had with Mayhem after their Strikeforce middleweight title bout. It started off somewhat playful and ended with Jake Shields telling Mayhem Miller that his last real win was win he beat up his girlfriend and got arrested. Yeah, Jake actually went there. In this interview with Fightline, Shields doesn’t call out Dan Henderson on any alleged domestic violence, but he does say Dan Henderson has holes in his game that he plans to exploit.
“I think he’s a little wild at times…makes a few mistakes”
“There are a few weaknesses in his jiu-jitsu so obviously, that’s my strongest point…I’ll try to exploit him there.”
“I try to force the submission instead of just waiting of the guy to make a mistake. When you have a shorter round you don’t have time to wait.”
The Mayhem/Shields beef was pretty interesting but the real beef was that thing incubating on Mayhem Miller’s neck after their November bout.
