Jake Hager ran into a hard stop at Power Slap 21, where Amanpreet Singh knocked out the former WWE champion in the third round on Friday night in Las Vegas.
Hager, who competed in WWE as Jack Swagger and later went unbeaten during his Bellator MMA run, was trying to build momentum in his second Power Slap appearance. Instead, Singh landed the cleanest blow of the match and left Hager needing help as officials moved in.

Hager’s Power Slap start takes a sharp turn
The loss is notable because Hager had avoided that kind of result across his combat sports detours. Power Slap has been a different kind of test. Hager won his debut earlier this year by knockout, then signed into a longer run with the promotion. Singh changed Hager’s track quickly by forcing the first real setback of his post-wrestling combat career.

Hager retired from MMA in 2023 after his Bellator run, but he has remained active around combat sports and entertainment. This defeat does not erase his first Power Slap win, though it does reset the conversation around how far he can go in a format where one clean shot can undo an entire night.
