Jason Jackson Dominates Douglas Lima In Lackluster Fight – Bellator 283 (Highlights)

In the main event of Bellator 283, former Bellator Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima takes on Jason Jackson.

Round 1:

Jason Jackson and Douglas Lima exchange a multitude of leg kicks. Jackson looks to change levels with feints. Lima catches Jackson with a lean mean check left hook. 

Jackson takes only a couple of minutes to finally take down Lima. Jackson controls Lima on the ground for the remainder of the round.

Round 2:

Jackson looks to drag Lima back to the May to start off the round. Lima shows resistance but is ultimately controlled on the ground after a takedown attempt. Lima works his way back up after being on his back. Jackson slams Lima to the ground. Jackson airlines.

Lima goes for a armbar on Jackson who slips out and stands up. Lima catches Jackson with an upkick that stuns him for a moment with him dropping onto Lima. Lima catches Jackson with a few hard shots from the bottom, but Jackson makes him pay controlling him for the rest of the round.

Round 3:

Jackson attempts another takedown but Lima defends it well, keeping the fight on the feet. They work in the clinch. Jackson tries for another takedown but Lima reversed and ends up on top. 

Lima works from the top position for a moment before Jackson manages to get back on his feet. It doesn’t take long for Jackson to get a takedown of his own. Jackson lands some ground and pound.

Round 4:

Jackson continues the success, getting an early takedown of Lima. Jackson lays on Lima for the majority of the round, not doing much in regards to ground and pound. 

Round 5:

Jackson secures another takedown to begin the round. The final round turns out to be a reminder of the previous rounds. Jackson would control Lima on the mat, with very limited ground and pound. Final round ends with Lima on top position.
