There is nothing worse than a broken leg in MMA.
On Sunday at Eternal 60 in Perth, Australia, top prospect Jack Becker was defending his lightweight title against Aidan Aguilera, and 20 seconds into the fight, he threw a leg kick which snapped his leg. Aguilera would become the new Eternal MMA lightweight title.

The leg break is eerily similar to Anderson Silva‘s leg break as well as Chris Weidman‘s.
Becker (10-3) could have been on his way to Dana White‘s Contender Series if he had picked up a win; now he will be out of action for quite a while, unfortunately.
The 29-year-old Australian was riding a three-fight winning streak coming into this fight. He made his Eternal MMA debut last year in September, and he won the lightweight title against Daniel Hill via TKO. Two months later, he defended his title against Brentin Mumford, submitting him via an arm-triangle choke.
Early stoppage
A few hours after Becker broke his leg, he took to his Instagram to lighten everybody up. He posted a picture of the break and wrote “Early Stoppage.”
He would then write another post saying he is glad it was Aguilera who took the belt from him.
“The game is to get as ready as you can. Train your heart out and rock up to take risks and put it all on the line. I did that and so did my team.
Everybody who came out and made some noise, it was an experience I’ll never forget, I’m looking forward to feeling it again when I can.
Was all going to plan till my leg turned into a noodle,” Becker wrote.@aidanaguileramma I’m glad the belt is bequeathed to a man who values spicey highlights & sportsmanship. I’m sorry that’s how it went down. We deserved more than 22 seconds after the wait we had to perform. Defend the belt and enjoy it cos you deserve to.
It’s gonna take me a while to get back to all the nice messages. I’m good and I appreciate the thoughts. IL be back moving soon enough. I really wish I could have shown a little more. But that’s the way it goes sometimes”
