Jacare Souza vs. Robbie Lawler on the menu for Fall

Jacare is Portuguese for ‘Superhuman Brazilian submission artist’ but for some reason, Wikipedia tells us it means ‘Alligator’. We think it’s lying, even Shane Carwin warned us about user-generated content. Apparently Wikipedia hasn’t seen the nine limbs Jacare collected out of his ten MMA victories. Dude is like the repo man of arms and elbows and other body parts you only use if you’re a fighter. If you see Jacare crossing the street towards you, be sure to hide your arms in your shirts like you used to do when you were a kid (and then your mom used to yell at you because she thought you were making fun of armless people).

It looks like Strikeforce has Jacare Souza going toe to toe with your boy, The last EliteXC middleweight champion (RIP), Robbie Lawler. Robbie was on a 5-0 win streak until he ran into the brick wall that is Jake Shields (who also trains with Nick ‘THC’ Diaz and Gilbert Melendez). Ever since this Dream/Strikeforce merger happened, we’ve been blessed with rawesomite-packed match-ups like Mayhem Miller vs. Jake Shield, Melvin Manhoef vs. Andrei Arlovski (we just made that up) and Shinya Aoki vs. Nick Diaz (we just made that one up also). All of these fights are potential match-ups so its not that far fetched. Not as far fetched as General Megatron vs. that hot chick off Thundercats…Cheetara. That’s the future. [Source]
