The instant reaction of Israel Adesanya following Dan Hooker’s tough loss at UFC London has been captured on film.

Adesanya and Hooker are good friends and teammates over at City Kickboxing. The two have shared cards in the past. Hooker defeated Al Iaquinta back in Oct. 2019 on the UFC 243 card. Later that night, Adesanya stopped Robert Whittaker to become the undisputed UFC Middleweight Champion.

Israel Adesanya On Dan Hooker’s UFC London Defeat

On March 19, Dan Hooker went one-on-one with Arnold Allen. The bout served as the co-main event of UFC London. Allen scored the first-round TKO finish.

In an instant reaction video posted on his YouTube page, Israel Adesanya was not happy with the stoppage.

“Come on ref, what the f*ck? He was fine! Ref!”

When having a chance to cool down a bit and reflect, “Izzy” still believed that Hooker could’ve been given more time.

“I still think, I don’t know it’s hard for me to say but I feel like I’ve seen later stoppages and I know Dan. But still, I wasn’t in there, whatever. Blah, blah, blah. There’s no hardwood sign out of that one. It sucks, it sucks and I feel for Dan cause I know how much he puts into this. But as we do this, we’ll be back. Ain’t no sh*t, we’ll be back, we’ll be back.”

It’s a tough break for Hooker, who has now gone 1-4 in his last five outings. He’s dropped back-to-back fights but “The Hangman” is known for being active. His last win was back in Sept. 2021 so he hasn’t necessarily been in a drought but Hooker has had a rough go as of late.
