‘The Last Stylebender’ is freshly coming off a unanimous decision win over legendary former UFC champion Anderson Silva at UFC 234 earlier this month. In the same event, Whittaker forced to pull out of a title fight due to hernia issue that left his opponent Kelvin Gastelum without a dancing partner.
Interesting the former Ultimate Fighter winner, Gastelum declared himself the 185-pound champion and walked around with a belt on his shoulder during UFC 234 festivities. Shortly after Kelvin appeared on Ariel Helwani MMA Show, where he said Nigerien kick-boxer couldn’t able to finish a 43-year old Silva and is not worthy of a title shot.
The undefeated Adesanya is 5-0 in the UFC, with all these five wins came in 2018.
The winner is expected to face Whittaker in a title unification bout later this year.
