Irene Aldana suffered one of the most horrific cuts in MMA history.
Though Aldana came up short on the scorecards following her three-round war with Norma Dumont at Noche UFC on Saturday night, the Mexican-born beauty was the talk of the show after an inadvertent clash of heads busted her forehead open leading to one of the most gruesome gashes we’ve ever seen.
You can check out the injury in all its glory below, but be warned, you may want to place a bucket beside you before watching.

Despite the grisly-looking wound, Aldana was in relatively good spirits following the event. She even shared a clip on social media of her all stitched up and attempting to mitigate some of the damage with makeup.

“It was amazing to be part of this event, Noche UFC,” Aldana wrote on Instagram. “I’m just fine. Thank you all for your support and love. Recovered and ready for the next one.”
Irene Aldana Falls to No. 6 in the Bantamweight Rankings with Loss to Norma Dumont
With the loss, Aldana fell to 8-6 inside the Octagon and has now lost two of her last three. Still, Aldana is holding strong as the No. 6 ranked contender in the women’s bantamweight division.
Meanwhile, Norma Dumont extended her unbeaten streak to five, including previous wins against Karol Rosa, Chelsea Chandler, and Germaine de Randamie. With the win, ‘The Immortal’ moved up three spots to the No. 5 ranking and could very well be one big win away from a potential shot at the 135-pound title.
The bantamweight belt will be on the line on October 5 when reigning champion Raquel Pennington returns to defend her belt against ex-titleholder Julianna Pena. Dumont will undoubtedly have her eyes on the UFC 307 co-main event, even if she has a little more work to do before securing her first title opportunity.
