If you were expecting Shana Olsen vs. Erin Toughill, I have some bad news for you…

The fight has been called off. Done. Canceled. Strikeforce’s Mike Afromowitz confirmed it just hours ago with ProMMANow. The sole reason for the cancellation was Erin Toughill’s issue of cutting to 145lb. Yes, that is the same division Erin Toughill is the self-proclaimed #1 contender of. If any of you failed to understand the paradoxical nature of that statement, I’ll attempt to break it down in a variety of examples that may ease your understanding or endlessly complicate things until your brain leaks from a cerebral hemorrhage.

Erin Toughill not making weight in the division she claims she’s ranked #2 in is congruent to Lando Calrissian not promoting Colt 45 despite the fact that ‘it works every time‘. Toughill not making weight is synonymous to my father expecting me to make Varsity football when he constantly reminded me that I threw the ball like a ‘Slutty New Englander’. I’m still not sure what that means, but when you’re in seventh grade it does wonders for your self-esteem. Erin Toughill not making weight is like making fun of Ma-Ti from Captain Planet because of his ridiculous heart ring until you realize that he has the power to converse with koala bears which actually sounds really cool in theory.

Hopefully Shana Olsen will eventually get to make her Strikeforce debut based on her sheer skill to effectively win over fans based on her blogging ability. One day we’ll see Erin Toughill make her run for Cyborg’s belt, but unfortunately August 21st at Strikeforce Houston will not be that day. Bummer. [Source]
