If you missed it, Josh Burkman had the greatest no-tap submission of the year over Jon Fitch at WSOF 3

41 seconds, you guys.

The last time Jon Fitch was submitted was over a decade ago, and it was against Mike Pyle in his MMA debut.

What you’re seeing in this infinite .gif, compliments of Zprophet, is literally MMA history. The last time we saw Jon Fitch’s lifeless body get finished was at UFC 141 when he fought Johny Hendricks — and there’s people still in disbelief at that KO. At UFC 141, Hendricks earned a title shot against Georges St. Pierre for finishing off Jon Fitch, but unfortunately Josh Burkman won’t have that same option. See, there’s a thing called ‘World Series of Fighting’ which, by definition, dictates that its not Ultimate Fighter Championship — so Burkman can keep his Octagon dreams confined inside a hexagonal cage in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In reality, there’s absolutely no reason why Burkman isn’t the champion of WSOF’s welterweight division. If there’s not a belt, visit Home Depot and construct him one from plywood and duct tape immediately.

Now check out the sequence of events that got the entire MMA world buzzing just hours ago in the US.
