If you missed it, Carlos Condit vs. Tyron Woodley is going down at UFC 171

Whether it’s at work or in your personal life, I’m sure you will have a person who texts or calls repeatedly. Since taking calls and messages from people is essentially my job, I can’t moan too much. There are still annoyances though, such as getting into work on a Monday morning to find a whole chain of emails from one person who had a grievance then sent emails to update me on their progress until they eventually solved their own urgent problem. It’s annoying as hell, right? Now imagine being Dana White.

That guy must get so many text messages, phone calls and emails from people wanting him to do things for them. I can’t even comprehend being that busy. Nonetheless, he routinely tells the press that he loves it, loves hearing from fighters who are begging for a specific fight. Like Tyron Woodley texting him fifteen times a day, repeatedly stating his desire to fight Carlos Condit. His wish has now been granted.

UFC officials announced Condit vs. Woodley will be the co-main event at UFC 171, supporting the main event of Johnny Hendricks vs Robbie Lawler, and we can only assume the fight will decide the number one contender for the welterweight crown. I always imagined Tyron to be an exceptionally driven dude, more so than his peers, and this has really reinforced that perception. I’d find it frustrating, but Dana loves it.
