If a 12-year-old Anderson Silva chose soccer instead of fighting, this would have happened...

Anyone remember that one time Dana White said the UFC was ‘neck and neck’ with soccer? Yeah, that was fun. Or what about the time when Lorenzo Feritta said the UFC was bigger than the NFL? That was pretty cool too. If only my 56-year-old Armenian neighbor was aware of this stuff then he would stop with the New England Patriots worship and join a jiu-jitsu class.

We’re not here to argue whether the UFC is tied with soccer on a global scale or if the company has surpassed the popularity of the NFL. Those are all issues that Dana White and Lorenzo Feritta carefully researched to make that assumption. At least we like to believe that.

If it turns out that White and Feritta created those statistics to skew their place in the sports world, then we’re going to be very angry. I mean why would Dana White ever lie to us — everything the guy says is true. Even the whole ‘we will never let women into the UFC’ thing. Sure it happened this year with Rousey vs. Carmouche, but it was blatantly clear that Dana White was talking about an alternate timeline that runs parallel with ours. Come on guys.

In this same alternate timeline, Anderson Silva decided to take up soccer instead of fighting when he was twelve, and this is what happened.
