Holly Holm Signs A New Contract With The Promotion

Former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm (12-4) has signed a new six-fight deal with the UFC. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani first reported the news on (Weds., March 20, 2019).

“I’m very happy with the deal. We worked feverishly with the UFC to get this done.” Holm’s manager Fresquez said. “We’re ready to get to work I’m sure the UFC will have some great plans to announce for Holly in the near future.”

Holm’s last win came against Megan Anderson via unanimous decision at UFC 225 last June. She becomes the UFC women’s bantamweight champion back in 2015 after knocking out Ronda Rousey at UFC 193. After this triumph, she suffered three consecutive losses which are followed by KO win over Bethe Correia.

“The Preacher’s Daughter” was slated to fight Aspen Ladd at UFC 235 on March 2 in Las Vegas however for unexpected reasons the bout scrapped off.

There have been rumors circulating that title fight in works between Holm and division’s champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 237. However, nothing is official at the moment.
