Holly Holm Recently Files For Divorce From Husband Jeff Kirkpatrick, Requests Judge To Restore Her Maiden Name

Former UFC bantamweight champion Holly ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ Holm has reportedly filed for divorce from husband, Jeff Kirkpatrick.

Holly Holm and Kirkpatrick were college sweethearts first met at the University of New Mexico and later married in Cancun in 2012 after dating for a year. The duo doesn’t have any kids together.

According to TMZ, Holm filed court documents in Albuquerque N.M., looking to end her marriage to Jeff Kirkpatrick citing the reason for her divorce.

“Incompatibility because of discord and conflict of personalities.”

As per the report, Holm says she separated from Jeff since March 2018 and no longer living as a couple. The duo doesn’t have any children’s together, so child support isn’t an issue. In her court papers, Holm said both are financially independent so spousal support is not something that should be considered.

The former three-weight boxing world champion’s legal name read as Holly Holm-Kirkpatrick. She requested from judge to restore her maiden name.

She did her promotional debut back in 2015 when she beat Raquel Pennington. Almost nine months later she scored the historic win of her career by defeating previously undefeated Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 to score the UFC women’s bantamweight championship.

In her next Octagon appearance, Holm lost that title to Miesha Tate at UFC 196.

Her most recent win came in June where Holm scored a decision win over former Invicta champion Megan Anderson at UFC 225 in Chicago.

Currently, Holm is slated to return to Octagon at March’s UFC 235 event against Aspen Ladd in Las Vegas.

Holm, 37 has lost four of her past six fights. As per TMZ, she has approximately earned $1.6 million from her MMA career.
