Lightweight prospect Gregor Gillespie delivered in the co-main event in Utica on Friday night, submitting Vince Pichel for the first time ever in Pichel’s MMA career.
Gillespie dominated the first round with his wrestling and stifling top game, threatening with an arm triangle choke. He got that choke in the second round, and Gillespie moves to 5-0 in the UFC with four finishes.

Gillespie refused to call anyone out after the victory but is undoubtedly moving closer to a top ten opponent. Gillespie is a wrestler by nature but has improved his stand up drastically since joining the UFC, scoring an emphatic 21-second knockout over Andrew Holbrook early in his UFC career.
