Hey guys, Ronda Rousey is the first female UFC champ in the history of the world

When the history books are written and the linear title paths are traced back with fingers running along pages (or futuristic tablets), it will be Ronda Rousey’s name next to Royce Gracie, Mark Coleman, Frank Shamrock, Jens Pulver, Pat Miletich, Jose Aldo, Dominick Cruz and Demetrious Johnson as the first human beings to have multiple pounds of championship metal wrapped around their waist inside the Octagon. That’s right, TMZ has reported that the Strikeforce women’s division is dissolved and Ronda Rousey is the first female UFC champion. It’s done, **** just got real and it makes me think women’s suffrage would’ve ended a lot quicker if the chicks new how to tear an arm apart like a turkey at dinner.

Props to TMZ once again for breaking unbelievable MMA news. My God. Ronda will be defending her title sometime in early 2013 (hopefully against Cyborg but it’s whatever) and our minds are collectively blown.

Oh yeah, after January it looks like Strikeforce is all but dead. Damn.

Here’s Ronda doing what Ronda does to mark the occasion.
