Because he’s Fabio Maldonado. Brazilian says he’ll take banned substance prior to his fight with Fedor

Sure why not. In a brutally honest confession this week Fabio Maldonado admitted to the Brazilian media that he will take a USADA banned substance leading up to his fight with Fedor Emelianenko on June 17th in Russia. There will be no drug testing for the fight, Maldonado last competed in the UFC at 205 pounds and at press time he was still Fabio Maldonado fighting The GOAT.

Go right ahead Fabio take all the PEDs, you may need them.

Maldonado spoke with Ag Fight about him taking DHEA to help him with his hormones.

“It’s me against him. Everybody understands these things, right? I’m not trying to make myself look like a victim here. Everybody understands and knows what I will take and what I won’t take. What I can say is that I don’t take those things, but for example, when I was in my final UFC stretch and they had random tests, I was using DHEA, because the doctor told me it’s good for men past 32, it’s good for your skin and your hormones. It wasn’t even a PED. I’m not taking any yet, but I believe I’ll start next week.”

Num é só Maromba e circuito … Tem q fazer algumas coisas pra proteção e fisioterapia tbm

This man needs PEDs?!?!

Throughout his Pride and Strikeforce stints Fedor likely competed against more than a few performance enhanced foes. Will the DHEA version of Fabio Maldonado send Fedor back into retirement? Or will Fabio Maldonado still be Fabio Maldonado and get trucked by The Last Emperor aka The GOAT aka the sweater wearing, ice cream eating SOB called Fedor?
