I’ve been scarred for life by horror movies I watched as a kid. I don’t remember which movie did it to me but I have an extreme irrational fear of giant trash compacting dumpsters. Everytime I take the trash out of my apartment and head over to the big scary hunk of machinery I scope out my surroundings as though I’m in the middle of an Afghan war zone. I fear being ambushed by a rogue psychopath and thrown to a bone crushing death inside the dark and rancid bowels of the machine. It’s either that or I fear that when I open the metal door to throw my trash inside, some flesh eating zombie will jump out and maul me to death.
Zombie mauling or really any type of mauling death horrifies me too. In fact the word ‘maul’ conjurs up frightening images. So the UFC on Fuel 2 headliner fight with Alexander ‘The Mauler’ Gustafsson and Thiago Silva who tends to literally maul his opponents to defeat is bound to be scary. This is the best kind of scary though. Controlled, sanctioned, one on one mixed martial arts scary. The fight goes down live from Sweden this Saturday at 12pm EST/ 3pm PST on FUEL TV.
