Former UFC champion Henry Cejudo stepped up in his Arizona neighborhood on April 4, 2025, when a car going 80 to 100 mph slammed into his neighbor’s house. The crash shook the U-shaped street late Friday night. Cejudo, a two-division UFC titleholder, acted fast when the driver and passengers tried to run from the scene.

“All of a sudden I see this car, our neighborhood is kind of like a U, so I see this car coming with a huge right turn probably going 80 to 100 mph,” Cejudo said in an interview at the scene.

“He ended up hitting my neighbor’s yard. There were four passengers in there. They couldn’t get out. You can see inside this room, if someone was standing in there, they would be dead. All these kids are lucky to be alive,” he added.

The car hit the front yard, narrowly missing the house, leaving four young passengers alive but trapped at first.

Cejudo’s Quick Response

“They all started to get out little by little. One of them kind of got away. They ended up getting them, but they all tried getting out of the car. Once they got out, I told them, ‘Hey, you guys ain’t going nowhere,’” Cejudo said. “Wayne tried to stop them, who is the owner of this house. You know, ‘You guys have got to be held accountable for what just happened.’ He ends up cold cocking my neighbor. That’s when I had to step in,” he explained.

“Once he hit my neighbor I was like, alright man, all in. He’s in his 60s and I had to go out there and picked him up, dropped him, slapped him around a little bit,” he said.

Cejudo took down the suspect who punched Wayne, the homeowner in his 60s. Using his fighting skills, he lifted the guy, dropped him, and kept him there until police arrived. Posts on X later noted all four suspects were detained. The crash damaged Wayne’s property, but no one was seriously hurt. Cejudo’s actions on April 4, 2025, kept the situation under control until help came.
