Henry Cejudo Wants Germaine De Ranadamie To “Bend The Knee”

Henry Cejudo is no stranger to calling out female fighters like Valentina Shevchenko and Amanda Nunes. But recently, he called out top women’s featherweight contender Germaine De Randamie and told her that she can “bend the knee too”.

Randamie told Ariel Helwani on his show that she once out-fought a man in a boxing match who outweighed her by 40 pounds. And that’s pretty impressive but Helwani followed that up with a Tweet directed toward Cejudo because of the latter’s history of calling out top female fighters…

Did you know @IronLadyMMA once fought and beat a man 40 pounds heavier than her in a boxing match? Eat your heart out, @HenryCejudo.”

Yeah but has she ever fought an Olympic gold medalist? Didn’t think so. Hey @ironladyMMA, you can bend the knee too!”

And the challenges continue but surely Cejudo is making these statements for publicity. There’s no way he’d fight a woman in the octagon. But Cejudo is the current bantamweight and flyweight champion in the UFC and his success is known to get to his head a little.

Henry Cejudo (15-2) won’t be competing again until next year after his surgery but he’ll have to defend his flyweight title soon thereafter. Meanwhile, Germaine De Randamie who has a 9-3 record will be fighting arguably the greatest women’s MMA fighter ever Amanda Nunes (18-4) in a rematch at UFC 245 on December 14.

We doubt Henry Cejudo would seriously consider a matchup with Germaine De Randamie and it’s all just for entertainment.
