Henry Cejudo would have no problem fighting Conor McGregor but there is a special condition.
Cejudo has long taken jabs at McGregor on social media. Of course, McGregor has been in a heated feud with Cejudo’s manager Ali Abdelaziz. With that said, Cejudo realizes that McGregor is a massive star and a bout against him would be a big payday. “Triple C” says he’d accept such a bout at 155 pounds if a condition is met.
Henry Cejudo Lays Out Condition For Conor McGregor Fight
Speaking to The Schmo, Henry Cejudo said he’d only fight Conor McGregor at lightweight if the “Notorious” one shows up to the fight sober.
“Let me make you a deal. I will literally go up to 155lb to fight you if you are willing to be sober for the fight. What’s up? I don’t know man, we test his blow. Whatever that is but I will literally go to 155 if Conor McGregor passes sobriety. I think that’s even. I think that’s a great fight. I think that’s a great negotiation tactic.”
Cejudo went on to say that he feels McGregor is damaged goods.
“Conor McGregor in 2016, he did walk that walk,” Cejudo said. “But guess what man, his persona is over, he’s not that dude anymore. People know that it’s just an act and he doesn’t have that juice no more.
“But I think he’s so stubborn and around yes man. He won’t get better, he’s stuck in his own fame. That’s my two cents on Conor McTapper. I think he should fight Jake Paul, I think these two dudes are meant for each other. I think they can go on a damn honeymoon afterward too.”
Cejudo retired from pro MMA competition after successfully defending the UFC Bantamweight Championship against Dominick Cruz back in May 2020. Since that time, he has been teasing making a comeback.
