Hector Lombard just entered the top 10 all-time list for most consecutive fights without a loss

Let’s not forget the time when Paulo Flho ‘unexpectedly’ dropped out of his Bellator 18 fight against Hector Lombard because Filho felt that he was ‘too strong’ for Lombard. We don’t really know what the outcome would have been if Filho’s level of strength was reduced by some covert, genetic process to compete with Hector Lombard. Jay Silva stepped in for Filho and in just six seconds, Hector placed Jay Silva on his ever-expanding highlight reel with an inhuman one-punch knockout. There’s no need to search YouTube, I’ve found the fight for you.

Last week, Bellator allowed Hector Lombard to compete at CFC – Cage Fighting Championships 16 in Sydney, Australia to defend his middleweight belt against ex-UFC/IFL/Rings/Sengoku/DEEP veteran, Joe Doerkson. We’ve tried finding video of the fight, but the only evidence of Hector Lombard’s destruction can be found in this post-fight picture. Early in the first round, Hector used his elbows to carve a two-inch gash on top of Doerkson’s head, forcing the officials to stop the event. It was reported the ringside doctor could see Doerkson’s skull, which apparently is a sure sign that something horrible has irrevocably occurred. With this win, Hector Lombard has increased his streak to twenty-two consecutive wins. According to FightMatrix, Hector has now entered the top ten all-time list for most consecutive fights without a loss and is tied for the second most active winning streak in MMA. Props to Hector on setting yet another record in MMA and hopefully now he can patch up whatever beef he and Josh Barnett have. Just kidding, those two will forever be feuding. [Source]
