Hector Lombard claims Impact FC ‘screws’ their fighters

Just when you thought the days of relatively unknown promotions rising from obscurity only to not pay their fighters was over, Hector Lombard comes through with some allegations that only reaffirms Master P’s 1994 claim that everyone needs to ‘pay up [expletive], a hustler has got to eat’. That Master P and his timeless philosophy, it will indeed make you say ‘ugh’.

We interviewed Hector Lombard a few days ago to get his take on Impact FC’s apparent financial problems. Even though Hector would not disclose whether Shine Fights paid him in full from their failed ‘World’s Collide’ event, he didn’t hold back on Impact FC and their inherent ability to ‘screw all the fighters’.

“They don’t pay nobody man. They screw all the fighters. My boy, they owe him money. Thousands of dollars and no pay. I’m pretty happy I didn’t go to that show. My friend told me they show up for the promotion, and the fighters, they didn’t get paid. So, I don’t know whats going on with that organization, they are promoting shows but not paying fighters. You can’t do that, you have fighters on the show your supposed to pay. Or they don’t pay the fighters in full, and then they don’t pay the fighters their full amount of money. You can’t do that and have people compete. It’s wrong man.”

With twenty of his twenty-nine fights being held in Australia, Hector told us that Impact FC offered him a spot on their Sydney card but he turned it down due to some prophetic suspicion that he wouldn’t get paid. Not sure why you wouldn’t pay a dude that has a fourth-degree black-belt in judo, black-belt in jiu-jitsu and a record of 29-2-1 but hey, I’m not Australian.
