In divisions where MMA needs more exciting young fighters the answer to MMA’s next big thing question may come from the jiu-jitsu mats. Four-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida is once again talking about stepping into the cage for his MMA debut. Not only is Buchecha a black belt but he’s also only 26 years old and stands six foot three.
Please come to MMA soon and start choking members of the light heavy and heavyweight divisions, Buchecha?
Speaking with Combate, Buchecha laid at his combat sports road map for both 2016 and 2017. Expect to see Buchecha in the cage grappling fools up, sooner rather than later.
“I’m not on the fence, but I haven’t really had any fantastic proposals yet, nothing has really attracted me that much. I’ve been training wrestling and it’s sharp, you can see how many guys I’ve taken down in the Mundial. I will get back to training boxing, too. It’s a sport that involves too much rotation and I avoided it because of my knee.”
“I’ll begin again, wait for a good proposal and see what happens next. There was too much speculation and nothing solid. I need to be 100%. MMA has a lot of impact. I’ll be kicked in the knee, so next year sounds more real. It won’t be after 2017.”
Ja em negociações rsrs.
